The colour white is associated with light, goodness, innocence and purity. It is considered to be the color of perfection. In the garden White flowers lend a cooling effect, especially on warm summer days. White flowers are excellent for use along pathways where they highlight borders by reflecting even the smallest amount of light. They can be planted to greate effect amongst silvery and grety foliage, but do not look out of place companioned with most other colours.
