For those of you who do not want the hassle of building a climbing frame for your beans, Dwarf French Beans are a compact habit plant, growing to approx 18 inches, that don't need staking. They are easy to grow and withstand dry conditions. Dwarf beans can be planted as late as July to crop the same year! French beans are best picked when they are young and green, the beans are not usually removed but the complete pod cooked and eaten.
